About the team
Platform Engineering is a senior team of six. We own identity, multi-tenancy, billing, the token / AI Credit pool, RBAC v3, the audit spine, the app registry, and the gate middleware. Everything else on the platform either consumes us or routes through us.
What you'll do
- Design and own a critical slice of the platform end-to-end - identity, billing, RBAC, app registry, or audit
- Write the API contracts that hundreds of internal app teams will build against
- Get pulled into customer escalations and turn them into systemic fixes
- Be the technical decision-maker for your area - we hire owners, not implementers
What we're looking for
- 7+ years building production B2B SaaS, ideally in multi-tenant systems
- Deep familiarity with at least one of FastAPI / Django / Rails / Spring at scale
- Strong opinions about API design, data modeling, and migration strategy
- Track record of being the most senior engineer on a critical system
Nice to have
- Experience with the auth / RBAC stack (SAML, OIDC, SCIM, audit pipelines)
- Prior work in fintech, ERP, or anything else where 'data integrity' is the prime directive
- Open-source maintainership in adjacent ecosystems
